Oakman Aerospace, Inc. (OAI), a global leader in rapid and responsive space systems and services, announces the completion of the second year of successful operations!
During the second year of operations, OAI continued to grow our business operations. The OAI staff grew by over 33% reaching 11 total employees, our revenue surpassed the $2M mark (~30% increase over OFY2013), and we continue to execute our contractual obligations for our existing customers while concurrently establishing new customers and programs, products, and services. And, we continue to refine our internal policies, processes, procedures (P3), business and financial models and reporting structures, strategic plans and technology roadmaps, and new products and services offerings.
Some of the more notable highlights of OFY2014 included:

OAI’s Strategic Teaming Agreement with AAC Microtec to develop and produce Modular, Open-System Architecture (MOSA) systems, spacecraft, space components, and mission/payloads for government, commercial, and academic applications.
OAI’s Master Service Agreement (MSA) signed with Magellan Aerospace, Winnipeg, supporting the Radar Constellation Mission (RCM) spacecraft bus development effort.

OAI’s selection as the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce (DMCC) 2014 Emerging Business of the Year Award Winner.
AIAA Rocky Mountain Section’s Engineer of the Year Award presented to Stanley O. Kennedy, Jr.

OAI participated in the Small Satellite Systems & Services (4S) Symposium in Majorca, Spain where we debuted the Global Test Bed (GTB), which allows distributed design and development opportunities utilizing our rapid & responsive, modular open-system architecture environments for customers and teammates anywhere in the world. We supported the AIAA/SmallSat conference Student Design Competition as a Gold Sponsor. OAI hosted two high school summer interns working flight software and mechanical design and development activities. And, we’re proud teammates of Chatfield Senior High School’s successful CASIS proposal to fly experiments on the International Space Station.
