Made In Space To Discuss Space Manufacturing at 70th International Astronautical Congress

IAC provides a valuable opportunity to inform the global space community on the impact that on-orbit manufacturing will have on space commercialization and future space exploration.

The global space community is set to gather in Washington, D.C. for the 70th International Astronautical Congress (IAC) taking place October 21-25th. The event, hosted by the International Astonautical Federation (IAF) and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), will bring together researchers, engineers, agencies, businesses, students, young professionals, policymakers, astronauts, space-related members of the press, and the general public to discuss key issues ranging from space commercialization to sustainability.

The 2019 theme, “The Power of the Past, The Promise of the Future” pays homage to the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing while acknowledging the remarkable advances being made in space technology and the ambitious exploration goals on the horizon.

During the week, Made In Space will discuss innovative on-orbit manufacturing technology, like Archinaut One, and the transformative capabilities that it enables. IAC provides a valuable opportunity to inform the global space community on the impact that on-orbit manufacturing will have on space commercialization and future space exploration.
