The U.S. Patent Office has most recently awarded Hera Systems (now Redwire) a patent covering our proprietary aperture optics design which increases light-gathering by 40% with corresponding improvement in image quality and sharpness. Based on 2016 filings, Hera Systems holds three U.S. Patents protecting key proprietary elements of the 1HOPSat image and nanosatellite design, also including pixel-shifting super-resolution imaging capabilities enabling significant improvements in effective image resolution, and a dual-camera design which supports up to eight multispectral channels.
