Redwire recently celebrated the opening of its new office in Warsaw, Poland. With this new office, Redwire is supporting the country’s ambitions in space activities and continuing to build strong partnerships with Polish industry. The event, led by Redwire’s new Poland General Manager, Marcin Dobrowolski, brought together leaders from government and industry, most notably:
- Peter Cannito, Redwire Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
- Daniel Lawton, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. U.S. Embassy, Warsaw
- Jarosław Sulkowski, Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, Head of the Polish Delegation to the European Space Agency (ESA)
- Marcin Mazur, Vice President of the Polish Space Agency (POLSA)

The event included a panel discussion that explored the potential of microgravity instruments for Poland’s space sector. Polish researchers and companies are already making significant strides in microgravity, as seen with the upcoming Ignis mission, Poland’s inaugural technological and scientific endeavor to the International Space Station (ISS). Redwire aims at partnering with Polish universities, medical research institutions, and pharmaceutical companies to leverage the company’s trailblazing microgravity capabilities on the ISS.

“We are excited to expand our presence in Europe to support increased demand from international customers and build on our existing heritage and legacy in the region,” said Redwire Chairman and CEO Peter Cannito. “Redwire’s new Poland office will serve as a hub for cutting-edge research and technology development while contributing to critical systems such as the IBDM.”
Redwire’s Poland office will provide specification and design as well as assembly, integration, and testing support for the company’s International Berthing and Docking Mechanism (IBDM). Redwire’s IBDM technology will enable autonomous spacecraft docking for the Gateway lunar space station’s International Habitat, and iterations of this system could also support other elements of the Gateway as well as low Earth orbit spacecraft and commercial space stations.

With institutional space budgets across global spacefaring nations reaching record highs in recent years and ESA committed to ensuring sustainable growth in the European space sector, Redwire is well positioned to grow its civil and international business.
